The question of who is in charge of any person s life would seem to have an obvious answer. If someone were to say to you, Who is charge of your life. you would likely answer with, I am . That is exactly the correct answer, and we will explore that in more detail. However, let s first look at who is actually in charge of your life right now: The list is endless, but for most people it will include any combination of the following: Your boss, your children, your spouse, your friends, or your social organizations. Breaking it down even further, some people would include their doctor, their coaches and mentors, their parents, even their mechanic or their neighbors. The common reason why all of those people made the list is because they have some sort of influence over your life. Some have an extreme influence, while some only have a minor influence. The combined influence of all of those people adds up to the same thing it seems that anyone but YOU is in charge of your life. Our society has so completely ingrained in us that...

I think in most people s minds, the phrase, making ends meet implies that it is a challenge to have your income and expenses match. Your budget is really tight. Another phrase indicating a similar situation would be, just getting by. There are many people today who are trying to make ends meet. They are trying to figure out how to take care of their obligations with the money that they have. Many struggle over which bills to pay and how much to pay on them. Their life seems to revolve around trying to make ends meet, day after day. Some people have even accepted their current situation as being permanent. For them, this is just how things are, and this is how they will stay. You can choose to accept anything that you want to. You can look around, evaluate your situation and decide that there is no sense in fighting it; this is just the way things are for you. You can become convinced that your situation will not change, so you might as well just accept it, and do your best to make ends meet. You can also look around at your...

Q: My business is very small, just me and two employees, and our product really can t be sold online. Do I really need a website. A: Congratulations, Robin, you are the one millionth person to ask me that question. Smile for the cameras, brush the streamers and confetti from your hair and listen closely, because I m about to answer for the millionth time what has become one of the most important and often-asked questions of the digital business age. Before I answer, however, let s flash back to the very first time I was asked this question. It was circa 1998, during the toddler years of the Internet, just after Al Gore laid claim to having given birth to the concept a few short years before. I was giving a speech on the impact of the Internet on small business at an association luncheon in Montgomery, Alabama. My motto then was: Feed me and I will speak. I have the same motto today, but I now expect dessert to be included in exchange for the sharing of my vast wisdom. In 1998, which was decades ago in Internet years, the...

I write articles to inform you, the people, on matters that you would generally not know a whole lot about. This article was scheduled to be about Pepsin . i cant even decode raw material about this stuff. But as i read through it i started thinking... Alright, this is the simplest definition that I could find on the word Pepsin . Pepsin is a digestive protease released by the chief cells in the stomach that functions to degrade food proteins into peptides. What is that. This stuff grinds my gears becuase it is completely and entirely unnecessary. As i read through pages and pages of what they call information on pepsin, several questions ran through my mind. the first is simply Why?. Were we running out of small, simple words. It seems medicine has a tendency to create words long and unpronouncable. I guess the word unpronouncable should be in medicine too. But seriously doctor, come on. And how many other people are doing things just like me, trying to educate the public on things that they would never bother with...
